UW-Extension will host a Grape Growers Field Day on June 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Elmaro Vineyard, N14756 Delaney Road, Trempealeau. Grape growers and those wanting to learn more about fruit production and integrated pest management are encouraged to attend the field day.

Topics covered will include integrated pest management of grape diseases (fungal diseases and spray schedules), insects (Asian lady beetle and brown marmorated stink bug), plant physiology, nutrient management and sugar content management. Speakers include Patty McManus, fruit crop diseases specialist; Christelle Guédot and Janet van Zoeren, fruit crop entomology specialists; and Brian Smith, fruit production specialist and professor of fruit production at UW-River Falls.
